Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene (PE)

Polyethylene consists of different grades such as heavy polyethylene (HDPE), light polyethylene (LDPE), linear light polyethylene (LLDPE), medium density polyethylene (MDPE) and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW PE).

Polyethylene (polythene) is one of the main members of the large group of polyolefins, which is known as the most widely used polymer in the world. More than 32% of all plastics in the world (approximately more than 100 million tons) are obtained from this polymer.
Polyethylene consists of different grades such as heavy polyethylene (HDPE), light polyethylene (LDPE), linear light polyethylene (LLDPE), medium density polyethylene (MDPE) and ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW PE).
The characteristics of polyethylene grades are sometimes similar and sometimes completely different depending on the type of grade and their application.
